The dream of the Sicilian islands
In this tour we propose a journey to discover the colours, smells and flavors of the Aeolian Islands.
Lipari
Food tip: Aeolian salad (potatoes, tomato, onion, olives, and local capers). In the Aeolian Islands, large capers called cucunci are very common—try them!
The largest and liveliest island: lively port, narrow streets with bars, views of the castle and nearby beaches.
Volcano
Food tip: Pane cunzato with anchovies, capers, and local olive oil
Volcanic island with the smell of sulfur, crater, fumaroles and black sand beaches.
Salina
Food tip: Capers from Salina (in salads or pasta) with a glass of Malvasia delle Lipari
The greenest and most elegant: vineyards, quiet villages and the famous Pollara beach.
Panarea
Food tip: Raw seafood (tartare, carpaccio, fresh shellfish by the sea)
The most chic of the Aeolian Islands: white houses, bougainvillea, boats and a relaxed but elegant atmosphere.
Alicudi
Food tip: Fresh grilled fish in simple seaside trattorias
Wild and minimalist island: almost no cars, many stairs, absolute silence.
Filicudi
Food tip: Pasta with swordfish and capers
Small, authentic, with deep sea and the Grotta del Bue Marino.
Stromboli
Food tip: Spaghetti alla strombolana (tomato, olives, capers) and fresh fish
Pure volcano island: black cone in the middle of the sea, white houses and Stromboli which erupts lava almost every night.
